Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. The site is operated by the Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students, Enugu Diocese.

2. Who may use the site

The site is intended for members and friends of NFCS Enugu Diocese, and for anyone who wishes to support a nominee or attend a diocesan event. You must be at least 13 years old. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done under your account.

3. Voting

• Each contest and category has its own opening and closing time, shown on its page. Votes are accepted only within that window.
• In paid categories, a vote is recorded once the payment is confirmed by our payment provider.
• In free categories, we limit voting per person to keep the count fair.
• Attempting to manipulate a result — by automated scripts, duplicate accounts, fraudulent payments or any similar means — will void the affected votes and may lead to a ban.
• Results are final once published, except where a genuine error in the count is established.

4. Payments and refunds

• All amounts are in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are handled by licensed providers. We do not see or store your card details.
• Votes are final. Once a vote is cast and paid for it cannot be reversed, transferred or refunded — please confirm you have selected the right nominee before paying.
• If money left your account but your vote did not appear, use Fix a Payment or contact the secretariat. Verified failed transactions are resolved or refunded.
• Event registration fees are refundable only where the published terms of that event allow it.

5. Event registration

Registering for a diocesan event creates a place in your name. Give accurate details — your confirmation and reference are sent to the email address you supply, and you may be asked to present them at the venue. Where an event is cancelled by the federation, registrants will be informed and any fee handled as announced for that event.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that conflicts with the mission of the federation.
• Post or transmit material that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, or contrary to Catholic teaching and the good order of the diocese.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers or its data.
• Interfere with the site’s operation, or with anyone else’s use of it.
• Scrape, copy or republish the site’s content or the NFCS name and crest without permission.

7. Content and intellectual property

The NFCS name, crest, motto and the content of this site belong to the Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students and its Enugu Diocese chapter. Nominee photographs and descriptions are supplied by contest organisers and remain the property of their owners. Nothing on the site may be reproduced for commercial purposes without written permission.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The site may be taken down for maintenance, and features may change. Where a voting window is materially affected by an outage, we may extend it and will announce any such extension.

9. Third-party links

The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

10. Liability

The site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, NFCS Enugu Diocese is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Privacy

Our handling of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
